Mal JenkinsI have extensive experience in implementing change, improving teamwork, and strengthening leadership and interpersonal skills at all levels in many public and private organisations.I help to resolve problems in groups who are not working well together; I have facilitated many small, and large, sometimes difficult groups with a blend of humour and structure. My open manner and diagnostic skills help to get to the bottom of complex issues in communities and work groups.

During more than twenty years as a consultant, I have specialised in:

  • The design and facilitation of work-based team building programmes for existing management or departmental groups, including director and senior level teams.
  • The design and delivery of management development and personal development programmes.
  • The design and implementation of organisational change through strategic planning and organisation development programmes.
  • The facilitation of major change projects.
  • One to one coaching of managers at all levels on development and performance issues. I am trained in the use of psychometric profiles.
  • The design and delivery of creative and participative training programmes to meet specific skills requirements, such as coaching, influencing, appraisal, interviewing, teamwork and induction.
  • The diagnosis of organisation training needs.

Assignments have included team building and change management programmes with multi-cultural groups in Asia, Africa, and mainland Europe. I have consistently built long term relationships with clients, many dating from my first consultancy assignments to the present. Before entering consultancy in the late 80’s, I was a project engineer and engineering manager in British Gas, later heading up the management training and development unit in British Gas Wales.
